Background Jackie is a working woman and a mother of three young children. Background Jamie is a family man and a local realtor. Heart disease runs in his mother's family and all of the men in that family have died at an early age from heart attacks. Over the years Jamie says that he has watched his belly grow bigger and that he now always grunts when he has to reach down to tie his shoes. After being mesmorized with the incredible results shown on fitness comercials, Jamie decided it was time to do something. With the help of the Fitness Challenge, for the first time in his life Jamie can see himself like those people on the fitness comercials who have "non-typical results."

Jay has been on medication for high blood pressure since he was 15 years old. Jay wants the simple things like walking around the block without getting winded, going to amusement parks and fitting on the rides, going to the movies and fitting in the seats and being able to buy clothes from a regualr store. With the support and accountability of a trainer and the Fitness Challenge, Jay believes that he can lose weight and reach his goals.

Background Rebecca is mother and full time administrator for Bryan ISD. Having a young son and a demanding job, she has a difficult time making it to the gym without some sort of accountability. Rebecca says the she is 29 years old but feels like she is 59. Rebecca wants to become healthier to set an example for her son, her students and to prevent the development of serious health problems in the future.

Background Shontarius is married and is the father of 2 young daughters. He is also a lecturer in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M. Shontarius says that being overweight and out of shape has negatively affected his relationship with his wife and her confidence in him to provide for the family in the future. He wants to improve his quality of life so he is around for the important things like seeing his daughters graduate from college and walking them down the aisle when they get married.

She has struggled with her weight her entire life. Diabetes, heart disease and cancer are all present in her family and she is afraid that if she does not do something about her health, then she will suffer the same fate. Tori has struggled to be comfortable in a gym setting. In a previous expirience, she joined a gym and was very excited about getting in shape, she even went out and bought work out clothes. The first day she was on a treadmill, turned, and saw 2 girls laughing at her. She did not go back to that gym again even though she had to continue paying the membership for a year. She applied for the Fitness Challenge to become physically fit, lose weight and focus on her personal development.
